Nutcracker Auditions

COYB Studios – 64 W. Main Street, Newark, Ohio
All area-dancers ages 8+ are invited to audition for Central Ohio Youth Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Performances are held Thanksgiving weekend at the historic Midland Theater in downtown Newark, Ohio, and at The Woodward Opera House in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the second weekend of December.
The magic is ever-expanding as this youth company brings to life the costumes, sets and choreography of this ballet classic.

Classes Programs
We are committed to providing concert-style performances, unlike traditional recital and competition schools. We believe in dedicating class time to training and rehearsal time to rehearsing, allowing our dancers to shine on stage with confidence. About The School of
Central Ohio Youth Ballet
Central Ohio Youth Ballet is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a solid history in downtown Newark, Ohio providing a family friendly, financially accommodating program. The School of the Central Ohio Youth Ballet strives to cultivate the interest, motivation and ability that allow a dancer to experience the thrill and responsibility that comes with performing concert dance.
Our faculty incorporates their wealth of professional experience in creating classes that cultivate the understanding and technique essential to safely reach their potential.
COYB graduates develop technical strength and resilience that have made them competitive at the most prestigious conservatories, evidenced by their acceptances to summer intensives such as ABT, Joffrey, San Francisco Ballet, The National Ballet School, Virginia School of the Arts, Interlochen and in full time programs such as The OSU Dance Program, Butler University, BalletMet Trainee Program and Juilliard.
